When you think of tech innovators, who comes to mind? Bill Gates and Steve Jobs come to mind for many people. However, the tech industry has changed a lot in recent years. New companies have risen and created innovations that we use every day without realizing it. There are plenty of great innovators out there right now, so let’s take a look at some of them!

Elon Musk

He is the founder of Tesla Motors, which has created electric cars that are more efficient than anything on the market. His company is now building a battery factory in Nevada that will produce 500,000 batteries every year. And according to Musk himself, this will create more lithium-ion batteries than were produced worldwide in 2013!

While Elon Musk may be best known for his work with electric cars and space exploration, he created Hyperloop. This high-speed form of transportation would go from Los Angeles to San Francisco in just 30 minutes. It was designed to move people and not cars (which is why it will be located above ground). The inside of a Hyperloop capsule feels like an airplane or train cabin, but without any windows, because you won’t need them!

Sergey Brin and Larry Page

Google Founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page are two great innovators who have changed how we get information. Google has become a household name, but did you know that it started in 1998? They are worth over $300 billion, which is an incredible feat for any company!

Neil Guntherothr

This is the guy who invented your iPhone! He was working on touch screen technology when he realized that it could be used for a phone. His company, FingerWorks, had already created multi-touch software and all they needed to do was add in some components and then make an entire device around it. It only took them three years from start to finish.

Meredith Whittaker

She is the founder of AI Ethics International, which was created to help establish guidelines for artificial intelligence. It sounds like a strange concept since we are still years away from having robots that can feel or think just like humans do. But this technology has already led to some ethical issues, and there needs to be someone who monitors it.
